The Neverending Feast
Water is always a fascinating creature. It is, somewhat, the ultimate alpha and omega. It is where life began as an accident but what water gives, water can take away. When I look at the waves crashing on those beautiful rocks, all I can think about is that slowly, inexorably, water is eating away at the land we live on. Feasting on it... Patiently... And one day, in a far distant future, water will have devoured everything.
The Edge
This is where Europe ends and the vast body of water we call the Atlantic Ocean begins. I took this in Sagres, Portugal and what you see at the extreme left of this photo is Farol do Cabo de São Vicente, the fort at the edge of the world. This is were explorers like Colombus stared at the horizon and heard the call of the sea. If you stare at it long enough, you might, too...
Roots
I was walking around the house I temporarily inhabited in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during a shoot there to hunt for some pictures to take. The hunt was not as fruitfull as I'd hoped but as I walked across a park there, I just happened upon this tree and the pretty illusion the shadows were casting on the ground.
The Saint-Maurice
I was recently in La Tuque, Quebec for an audio recording and found myself with a little bit of free time to explore the area. There are many trails there to follow but after trecking them for a while, I decided that the people there wouldn't make trails in the best spots... They would LIVE there. And that's how I found this nice view of the river Saint-Maurice right by the residential area. It's a great view to wake up to in the morning.
Defiance
I've always had a soft spot for rebels and outcasts. For those who defy the establishment. Those who fight for unpopular causes... This photo was taken at the Nuit Blanche in Montreal in 2013 as I saw this guy walking against the current of the ever growing crowd. To this day, I still don't know who he is (so if you do know him or recognize him, please let me know).
Fight Fire With Fire
A few months ago, a friend of mine came to our place to practice his firebreathing. I can safely say that photographing fire is a very challenging undertaking because of the contrasts between the fire and... well... everything else. It made quite an impression on me and you can expect to see more firebreathing photos in the future.
Yellow Lanterns
During a shoot in Thunderbay, Ontario, we stoped at a restaurent (I can't remember the name) but these lanterns were hanging on the front porch.

Old'up Bar
The Old'up Bar in Alvor, Portugal. Sadly, I didn't get to have a beer there, but the place is gorgeous.

Relics 02
I love old relics like this one. They are mementos of a past upon which we built our whole civilization. This gorgeous microscope was for sale but it was sadly a bit out of my price range... Maybe one day!

Relics 01
Those old medical tools always seem uncanny... Especially when stacked in a horse nails box.

Ed
I met this guy, whom I called Ed, at a horror convention in London, Ontario. We chatted for a bit and, as he was such a nice guy, he now rents a room at my place...
